Kitsune and Tanuki

Got time for a little story?  

Here are Kikyo and her little, obviously not blood-related, brother Sato spending some time together. Sato was a stray Tanuki and was found by Kikyo one winter night in the dense and mysterious forest around Mt. Fuji. He was wounded and very hungry, desperately he attacked Kikyo but he was too weak and collapsed in her arms.
Kikyo took him to the temple where she and her family live, there Sato recovered and now is part of the family. He can't remember anything about his past but he is very happy in his new home. Sato and Kikyo are very close and Sato even is a little obsessed with his new big sister.
In japanese folklore the Tanuki and the Kitsune are rivals so I thought it would be nice to see they can get along too.
